Description
How do you go about discussing such a difficult event with young children? I have a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old, and even at their age, children can sense emotions like grief and sadness. I suspect that many kids are struggling to process the news of the Bakhdida tragedy. While I’m sure many are finding comfort in praying with their parents, I also wanted to provide a coloring page featuring the Bakhdida Memorial Symbol. This way, children can engage in a creative activity and feel like they are contributing, even if it’s in a small way. By combining the power of prayer and art, children will develop a sense of empowerment, knowing that they are actively involved. You can download this design from my bio link, and it’s available to anyone interested.
On September 26th, a tragic fire swept through a wedding hall in Bakhdida, Nineveh Plain, Iraq, claiming the lives of 117 individuals and leaving many critically injured. In response to this catastrophe, multiple organizations have initiated social media fundraisers with an overwhelming initial outpouring of support. These funds are being channeled towards immediate relief efforts and providing economic assistance to the families impacted by this disaster. The resilient residents of Nineveh Plain are sure to overcome this latest challenge.
Your contribution to any of these organizations would be greatly appreciated.
